A Word From The Producer of DOG TV
Greetings from DOG TV!
Today I have to share my views of how important it is to have current tags on your dog. In the past few years I have found numerous dogs running loose in well-populated areas and fortunately, in each instance, was able to find the owners through information on the dog tags.
All the dogs had been wandering around in the hot sun and were thirsty, hot and hungry. In each case, I was able to catch the dogs and call the owners or call the vets’ phone number listed on the rabies tag. One veterinarian that was listed happened to be 150 miles away and there was no other information. I called the number and the vet’s office said the owners were on vacation. They gave me a contact number and they happened to be vacationing in our town. I called them, they came for their dogs and were very thankful I had found them. It just broke my heart that these sweet, four-legged friends were running loose.
These little, and sometimes big, canine friends are oblivious to cars and on-coming traffic so please, please, always keep an eye on your dog and keep their tags up to date. It’s so important.
Thank you,
Celeste (Producer Dog TV)
A small side note:
I keep a sample pack of dog food along with extra leashes, water and gloves in my car to catch these lost little critters. It is better than animal control coming to take the dog away! Please tag your dog and make sure they are kept in a controlled environment.
